Fairline Yachts wins International Dealer Development Award at the METSTRADE

Luxury British motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, was last night (15 November) announced as the winner of the International Dealer Development Award at the annual Metstrade Boat Builder Awards.

Held at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam and organised jointly by International Boat Industry magazine (IBI) and Metstrade, the Boat Builder Awards recognise outstanding business achievements in the global leisure boatbuilding industry.

A global network

Judges commended Fairline for its close work with its global dealer network to create fairer, more efficient ways of working, which have been achieved through launching a number of key dealer initiatives. Judges praised Fairline’s new simplified discount structures, overhauled dealer contracts and investment in sophisticated digital asset management software, for creating more transparent and productive relationships between the yard and its dealers. The judges emphasised that this focus on continuity and creating more open lines of communication showed a relationship between the brand and its dealers that has fostered mutual investment, support and success.

The re-birth of Fairline Yachts

Russell Currie, Managing Director, comments on the award win, “With the re-birth of Fairline Yachts, we had the opportunity to readdress Fairline’s relationship with its global dealer network. As a Fairline dealer for 20 years, improving this relationship is something which I feel passionately about and we are dedicated to creating a more productive, transparent relationship based on mutual trust and respect. We would like to thank the judges for their consideration and decision, along with every member of the Fairline team and dealer network for all of their hard work, which made this achievement possible. With a passionate team of incentivised, motivated and knowledgeable dealers in key yachting markets around the globe – the future for Fairline Yachts is looking very bright!”
